I’ve Joined the Lumify Family

As a healthcare worker who is also an active Instagram user, I will admit to following a few company accounts since I joined. With a smaller following and an unspecified niche, at the time, I could only dream of having these companies “heart” my DMs or tags, let alone initiate a conversation. But as I put forth more effort into my posts and reels, and as my engagement grew, I kept those hopes alive in my mind.  And, my friends, one of those dreams came true last month.

I am officially a member of the Lumify Fam! It feels so good to say it — and type it — out loud! When I got that first message from Anthony, I could barely believe my eyes. Lumify as a company has been around for just a year, and I have followed them from the beginning. They were a brand that encompassed all positive things about working in healthcare, and I enjoyed watching their posts as they grew. And then… I was asked to join their newest cohort! So here I am, officially a member, and I am going to tell you why you, too, should be following and supporting Lumify.

Something I hate about working in a hospital: the dress code. A lot of times, you’ll be told what color top and bottoms to wear and what brands make them. Okay, now you look like everyone else. Cool. But how do you add your little bit of sparkle? Ah, Lumify can help! Simply open the app, head to the Market at the bottom of your screen, and you’re given a menu to explore categories, best sellers, or by brands. Lumify carries gadgets, apparel, accessories, and they even carry Stink Balm, which, as a person who is a self-admitted wound-care freak, I can say is a necessity! I love the Lumify brand underscrubs and the white board badge reels. You never know when someone is going to be without their hearing aids or glasses! And working in a hospital, it’s a safe bet you’ll need to write at least one message, either to yourself or a patient!

Lumify’s app also has a Hub, with banners such as Advocacy, Women-Founded and Black-Founded, where you can find links to additional organizations and companies that Lumify has partnered with. There are hiring organizations, resume resources, and campaigns designed to show healthcare workers their mental and physical well-being are essential. They offer links to partner with companies selling apparel, food, and other essentials, some with a discount just because you are a Lumify subscriber! Sounds good to me!

I could talk about how amazing Lumify is all day, but I’m going to leave it up to you to explore the Lumify app, follow @Lumifycare on Instagram, and even head to their website Lumify (lumifycare.com) to read their blog. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out — I can write the answer on my badge reel!
